Description	:	Rev. Warren D. Norman The Rev. Warren D. Norman, 85, formerly of Truman Street, Yadkinville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Surry County to the late Joseph Harrison and Sarah Vaughn Norman. The Rev. Norman was the former pastor of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Salem Fork Baptist Church in Surry County and Deep Creek Baptist Church in Yadkin County. Read More	Rev. Warren D. Norman The Rev. Warren D. Norman, 85, formerly of Truman Street, Yadkinville, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Surry County to the late Joseph Harrison and Sarah Vaughn Norman. The Rev. Norman was the former pastor of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Salem Fork Baptist Church in Surry County and Deep Creek Baptist Church in Yadkin County. He served as assistant pastor with the First Baptist Church of Yadkinville for several years and served as interim and supply pastor for dozens of churches throughout Yadkin, Davie, Forsyth and Surry counties. He was a master craftsman and was known for his skill in woodworking, cabinet, furniture and musical instrument making. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters. Surviving are his beloved wife of 67 years, Stella Jane Rachels Norman; his children, David Edward (Janice) Norman, Hamptonville, Larry Warren (Jackie) Norman, Chesapeake, Va., Garry Dean (Debbie) Norman, Lewisville, Wanda Norman (Steve) Taylor, East Bend; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a special friend, Jim Grant; and a bountiful amount of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Enon Baptist Church by the Rev. Mark Elmore and the Rev. Richard Eskew. He will lie instate 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Enon Baptist Church Family Life Center, Old US Hwy 421, East Bend, NC 27018. Published: Monday, November 12, 2007, The Tribune.
