Description	:	Reverend William (Bill) P. Taylor went home to be with Jesus Friday evening, March 2, 2007. Bill was born February 25, 1947, in Morton, WA, to William Fred and Betty M. Taylor. The Taylor family moved to Northern California in 1956, the year of the big flood. Bill attended Fortuna Elementary, Fortuna Middle School and Fortuna High School. He participated in football, baseball and wrestling. After high school, Bill attended Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, CA. He met his wife, Helen here and they were married in 1968. Bill was born February 25, 1947, in Morton, WA, to William Fred and Betty M. Taylor. The Taylor family moved to Northern California in 1956, the year of the big flood. Bill attended Fortuna Elementary, Fortuna Middle School and Fortuna High School. He participated in football, baseball and wrestling. After high school, Bill attended Bethany Bible College in Santa Cruz, CA. He met his wife, Helen here and they were married in 1968. Bill pastored Trinidad Assembly of God in Trinidad, CA, for 3 1/2 years, then in Avondale / Goodyear, AZ. For 10 1/2 years to help his uncle establish a church. God then led Bill and his family back to northern California where he has pastored Weott Faith Chapel Assembly of God for 24 years this month. Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Helen; son, William (Bill), John and wife Michelle of Carson City, NV; son, Matthew (Matt) James Taylor and wife Stephanie of Rio Dell, CA; daughter, Shireen Lynette Jenks and husband Keith of Fortuna, CA; his mother, Betty; his brother, Rick; and sister, Linda Willis. His eight grandchildren of whom he was so proud: Kailey, Jacob, Travis, Elijah, Shalynn, Zebadiah, Emma, Ashley and many nieces and nephews. His father, William Fred, preceded Bill in death; sister, Carol Behrle; as well as aunts and uncles. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life at Weott Faith Chapel, in Weott, CA, on Tuesday March 6, 2007, at 2:00 PM. There will be a visitation at Goble’s Fortuna Mortuary on Monday March 5, 2007, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made to: Weott Faith Chapel, P.O. Box 67, Weott, CA 95571; or South Fork High School Boosters Club, Avenue of the Giants, Miranda, CA 95553.
