Samuel B. Roberts. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal and the European-African-Middle East Area Medal. He was a repairman for Southwestern Bell Telephone until he retired in 1983. He was a member of Countryside Christian Church, American Legion Post No. 400 and Telephone Pioneers of America. He married Colleen M. Reed on July 1, 1951, in Clay Center. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Jerry R.
