Thus to another soul has been re- vealed, through the mystery of death, the realities of the realm of inmor- ality beyond, and another home in in our community rests under the darkest cloud of grief and sorrow it can ever know. The kind and loving husband and father is gone, the wife has lost the strong arm upon which she leaned for protection and support. The children who have arrived at maturity, will miss the clear head, and kind heart to which they have turned for council and advice. To them this whole commun- ity extends a sympathy, heartfelt and sincere. With them we mourn for we all feel that no better, manlier man has ever lived among us, and his death is to us all a personal grief. His virtues were many and his faults were few, and we believe that in the gray dawning of that day when all shall be judged, he will be standing by his master's side, his face radiant with the light of Eternal morning. He had an attack of la grippe last winter, and since has never been free from it's effects. For the last week or two he had been troubled with pains in side and chest. He ate a hearty dinner on the day of his death and awhile afterward feeling a pain in his side, went to another room, lay down and dropped into a sleep, where he was found soon afterward by one of the family peacefully sleeping in death. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon, at 3 o'clock from the family residence.
