Description	:	Rhoda C. Taylor Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoda C. Taylor, widow of the late Charles Taylor, were held from the home in Unity, September 21, 1922. The beautiful floral offerings with which she was surrounded gave silent testimony to the esteem in which she was held by friends and neighbors. The services were conducted by a former pastor, the Rev. Mr. Berriman of South Portland. Taylor Funeral services for Mrs. Rhoda C. Taylor, widow of the late Charles Taylor, were held from the home in Unity, September 21, 1922. The beautiful floral offerings with which she was surrounded gave silent testimony to the esteem in which she was held by friends and neighbors. The services were conducted by a former pastor, the Rev. Mr. Berriman of South Portland. Mrs. Taylor had lived in Unity many years and she was deeply interested in the schools, the church, and everything for the betterment of the town. While not a member, she was a regular attendant of the M. E. church in Unity and a faithful worker in its Ladies' Aid. Unselfishness and devotion were two of her leading traits. Her sympathies were easily enlisted and every worthy cause whether at home or abroad found in her a ready helper. Mrs. Taylor was born in Dexter, February 24, 1844, the daughter of the late Obed and Louisa (Billings) Foss. Her education was received in the schools of Dexter, supplemented by one year in the Academy in Lee, Mass. She taught some years in the schools of her home town and when quite young united with the Congregational Church of Dexter of which she was a loyal member for more than fifty years. Mrs. Taylor is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary L. Parkhurst of Dexter; a niece, Mrs. Joseph Sawyer of Fairfield; a stepson, George Taylor of Unity; four grandchildren, Misses Mary L. Taylor, Florence Taylor, Wellington Taylor and Hale Taylor.
