Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of Horace and Ellon McDaniel Bridges of Gaffney and the late Gene Stanford. She was a former customer service representative for Robert Allen Fabrics in Gaffney and a member of the Baptist faith. She attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Born in Gaffney, she was the daughter of Horace and Ellon McDaniel Bridges of Gaffney and the late Gene Stanford. In addition to her parents, she is survived by four sisters and their husbands, Donna and Kenneth Strong and Kimberly and Terry Scruggs of Gaffney, Benita and Eric Hamrick of Kings Mountain, N.C., and Lisa and Cam Smith of Boiling Springs, S.C.; two brothers and their wives, Curtis and Kim Stanford of Decatur, Ala. and H. Benny and Cindy Bridges Jr. of Gaffney; seven nieces, Hanna Beth Strong, Danielle Scruggs, Christina Scruggs, Emily Smith, Nicole Bridges, Morgan Bridges and Crystal Quarles; and three nephews, Tyler Ruppe, Dustin Scruggs and Caleb Stanford. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Claude and Daisy McDowell; her paternal grandparents, Charles Stanford and Robin Ruth Horne; two uncles, Joe Stanford and Claude McDowell Jr.; and a nephew, Cavon Curtis Stanford. Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Central Baptist Church. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to services. Interment will follow services at Oakland Cemetery, officiated by the Revs. Alan Peeler and Horace Bridges. Pallbearers are: Joey Stanford, Jackie Stanford, Mark McDowell, Randy McDowell, Joe Humphries and Lamar Brown. The family is at the residence of her sister, Donna Strong, 175 Maddox Road, Gaffney. Memorials may be made to "Funeral Fund of Rhonda Stanford," c/o Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home. (Shuford-Hatcher Funeral Home is serving the family.)
