He was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Richmond, Ind., to Gilbert and Myrtle Evilsizer Cotrell, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 13, 1955, he married Teresa R. Brown, who died May 1, 2006. Mr. Cotrell retired as head of maintenance at Kolter Buckeye/Freckers Dairies after 36 years. Following his retirement, he went into the ministry full time and formed the Miracle Temple Church, where he served as pastor until he was called into the presence of his Lord. He was born Sept. 1, 1937, in Richmond, Ind., to Gilbert and Myrtle Evilsizer Cotrell, who preceded him in death. On Aug. 13, 1955, he married Teresa R. Brown, who died May 1, 2006. Mr. Cotrell retired as head of maintenance at Kolter Buckeye/Freckers Dairies after 36 years. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and Indians. Above all else, he enjoyed being the shepherd of his flock at Miracle Temple Church. Survivors include four sons, Gilbert E. Cotrell, Thomas E. (Carolsue) Cotrell, Richard A. (Tammy) Cotrell Jr. and Bruce A. Cotrell, all of Lima; a sister, Lovetta (Fred) Dove, of Lima; two brothers, Pastor Ernie Cotrell, of Lima, and Bobby (Janie) Cotrell, of Elida; 13 grandchildren, Christina, Brian, Cherri, Brian, Gilbert Jr., Micah, Tabitha, Kevin, Seth, Alyssa, Shawnacie, Cory and Austin; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lewis Eastside Chapel. Pastor Ernie Cotrell will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery
