Description	:	Richard "Dick" Wagner, 77, of Columbus, Nebraska, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at his home in Columbus. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 10 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus with Rev. Timothy White officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Columbus, with military honors by The American Legion Hartman Post 84 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Richard Allen "Dick" Wagner was born August 6, 1936, in Springfield, OH, in Clark County to Roy Raymond and Emma Frances (Rose) Wagner. He was baptized as a small child at First Pilgrim Church in Springfield. Dick attended school in St. Mary's, OH. On February 9, 1954, Dick entered the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on July 26, 1957. Dick worked in California, Nevada, and Nebraska, and most recently worked as a licensed electrician at Mohrmann's, retiring after 24 years. Dick married the love of his life, Connie Katherine Muhle on December 28, 1968, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek. To this union two children were born - Tamara K Wagner and Richard Allen Wagner II. Dick loved to hunt and fish. He loved all animals especially cats and dogs. His greatest love (other than Connie) were his children and grandchildren. Dick was a Endowment Member of the NRA, and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Dick is survived by: Son - Richard "Ric" Allen (fianceé - Kristy Gamble) Wagner II of Bellevue, NE Grandchildren - Kailyn and Kamilla Marker of Columbus, NE Sisters - Arlene McCormick of Springfield, OH; Betty Wagner of Las Cruces, NM; and Ann Collins of Dayton, OH Brothers - Raymond (Alice) Wagner of Columbus, NE: and Kenny Wagner of Fabian, TX Brother-in-laws - Mark "Woody" Woodworth of Columbus, NE; and Donald Borowiak of Silver Creek, NE Sister-in-law - Sharon Wagner or San Jose, CA Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends Dick was preceded in death by: Parents - Roy and Frances Wagner Spouse - Connie Wager on December 9, 2009 Daughter - Tamara Marker on June 28, 2013 Brothers - Bill, Roger, and Bruce Wagner Mother-in-law - Martha (Lutjelusche) Muhle Mueller Father-in-law - Hugo Muhle Step-father-in-law - Edward Mueller Sister-in-laws - Arlene Woodworth, Rosie (Gene) Haiar, and Gladys Borowiak Niece - Mary Borowiak
