Description	:	Richard C. "Dick" Bias, 80, of Milton, died at home April 19, 2003, after a brief illness. He was born March 27, 1923, a son of the late Basil and Ora Winifred Brown Bias. He was a former mayor of Milton and founding member of the Milton Volunteer Fire Department, of which he was fire chief for many years and had 50 years of service. "Dick" Bias, 80, of Milton, died at home April 19, 2003, after a brief illness. He was born March 27, 1923, a son of the late Basil and Ora Winifred Brown Bias. He was a former mayor of Milton and founding member of the Milton Volunteer Fire Department, of which he was fire chief for many years and had 50 years of service. He also was an EMT as well as the owner/operator of several service stations in the Milton area. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Milton Baptist Church, the Milton American Legion and VFW, and also a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by his wife, Flora Belle Bias; two sons, Brent Bias of Ona Scott Bias of Lesage; three granddaughters; four step-granddaughters five great-grandchildren. His body is being donated for medical research at his and his wife request. A memorial service was held at the Milton Volunteer Fire Department on Monday, April 21, 2003. Heck Funeral Home, Milton, was in charge of arrangements.
