Description	:	Richard Charles Wilshusen (As printed in the Polk Progress 10-2-1947) Richard Charles Wilshusen, son of Mr. Elmer Wilshusen and his wife, Ada Zierott Wilshusen, was born June 25th 1939. He was baptized in Immanuel Lutheran church of the 9th day of July, 1939. When he became of school age, he was enrolled in Immanuel Lutheran parochial school, and was in the third grade at the time of his death. His teacher speaks highly of him, a good student, obedient and co-operative. He was beloved by all his school and playmates as well as by all who knew him... Read More	Richard Charles Wilshusen (As printed in the Polk Progress 10-2-1947) Richard Charles Wilshusen, son of Mr. Elmer Wilshusen and his wife, Ada Zierott Wilshusen, was born June 25th 1939. He was baptized in Immanuel Lutheran church of the 9th day of July, 1939. When he became of school age, he was enrolled in Immanuel Lutheran parochial school, and was in the third grade at the time of his death. His teacher speaks highly of him, a good student, obedient and co-operative. He was beloved by all his school and playmates as well as by all who knew him well. Richard followed his Saviour calm and fearless safely into the fatherland on last Monday morning, September 22, 1947. He had reached the age of 8 years, 2 months and 21 days. He leaves to mourn his passing: his loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilshusen, a sister, Janice, an infant brother, Sherman Wilshusen, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilshusen and Mrs. Zierott and one great grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Zierott, many other close relatives, as well as school mates and a host of friends. Richard has gone to be with Jesus. But we who remain here a while longer will ever hold him fast in our memories, until it shall please the loving Saviour to receive us too into that blessed fatherland to be rejoined there with our loved ones.
