Description	:	Richard David Reese, 71, of Henderson, NC died Monday, March 27, 2017 at Hock Family Pavilion in Durham. Born in Clarksville, VA, he was the son of the late Richard Alexander and Susie Riggan Reese. Mr. Reese was President of Home Credit Corporation of Henderson. He was a member and deacon of Rock Spring Baptist Church and the Kerr Lake Advisory Committee. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Rock Spring Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Gary Brummitt and Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born in Clarksville, VA, he was the son of the late Richard Alexander and Susie Riggan Reese. Mr. Reese was President of Home Credit Corporation of Henderson. He was a member and deacon of Rock Spring Baptist Church and the Kerr Lake Advisory Committee. Surviving are his wife of forty-nine years, Nancy Walker Reese; two sons, Brian D. Reese (Jennifer) of Bullock, NC and R. Dale Reese (Sandy) of Henderson; a sister, Christy R. Pulley of Henderson; and five grandchildren, Alexis Reese, Avery Reese, Carson Reese, Meredith Reese and Madelyn Reese. He was preceded in death by a sister, Becky R. Lamm. The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Flowers Funeral Home. All other times they will be at the home. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Twisdale, Bryant Yount, Tim Twisdale, Steve Walker, Jimmy Crawford, Jimmy Newton, Ashley Lamm and Randolph Reese. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Townsville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 2, Townsville, NC 27584 or to Duke Home Care & Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Drive, Durham, NC 27704.
