Description	:	Richard Deems "Sonny Boy" McKenzie, of Kingstree, a lifelong resident of Williamsburg County, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 after a long bout with cancer. He was born September 23, 1935, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late Harmon Harrison and Arcie Smith McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was the owner of McKenzie's Exxon (Gulf) for 31 years, was a Williamsburg County farmer and was an avid fox hunter. Pleasant. He was the proud grandfather of Amy, Rebecca and H.P. Brown, Brandy McKenzie, Lewis, Ron and James McKenzie, Austin and Ramey Mull. He is also survived by a sister, Jean Kemmerlin of Sumter and a brother, Dale McKenzie and wife Velma of Kingstree. He was preceded in death by a son, James Alan McKenzie and 10 brothers and sisters. Interment was in Smith Cemetery.
