Description	:	Richard Delivan Clark was born May 1, 1940 at Pittsburg, Iowa. He was the sixth of seven children born to William Clyde and Laura (Cass) Clark. Dick, as he was known, attended the Bentonsport Grade School at Bentonsport and graduated from high school at the Bonaparte High School in Bonaparte. Read More	Richard Delivan Clark was born May 1, 1940 at Pittsburg, Iowa. He was the sixth of seven children born to William Clyde and Laura (Cass) Clark. Dick, as he was known, attended the Bentonsport Grade School at Bentonsport and graduated from high school at the Bonaparte High School in Bonaparte. Following his graduation, he began a lifelong career as a printer at Keosauqua. In July of 1957 Dick was inducted into the U.S. Army. Following his active service obligation, a friend, Rodney Warner, introduced him to Sharon Lee Huston, who was a mutual friend to both. They were married on August 12, 1961 at Bonaparte. Dick and Sharon later moved to Fairfield and then to Mount Ayr. In 1973 the family moved to Pella. His printing career continued in Pella where he began working at Pella Printing Company. At the present time he was an employee of the Pella Corporation as their printer at The Copy Connection in Pella. On Friday evening, November 23, 2001, Dick and Sharon had just finished supper when he encountered difficulty in breathing. He was immediately transported to the Pella Regional Health Care Center in Pella where he passed away on arrival at the age of 61. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon L. Clark of Pella; their son, M. Dean Clark and hiswife, Sandy of Knoxville, and his two daughters, Jessica Lyn Clark and Cassandra Mae Clark, both of Pella and his daughter, Della Vonn and her husband, Dan Flanegin of Sigourney. Dick leaves an ex-daughter-in-law, Patty (Clark) and her husband now, Scott Roorda of Pella and of his original family, two sisters; Kathryn Lucille Renteria of Pella and Cleda Darlene Biggs of Fairfield; and his two brothers; William Clyde Clark, Jr. and his wife Linda of Creston; and Jimmie Dale Clark and his wife, Karen of Rhome, Texas. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; William and Laura Clark; and two sisters who died in infancy; Wilma Clementine Clark and Carley Jean Clark. Dick was a member of the Bellefountaine Masonic Lodge No. 163 at Tracy. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, in that order; and his favorite place to visit was the Rocky Mountains. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at the First Baptist Church in Pella, Rev. John McNabb officiating. Masonic rites provided by the Bellefountaine Masonic Lodge A.F.& A.M. No 163 at Tracy. Funeral services were also held Wednesday, November 28, 2001 at Bonaparte United Church, Bonaparte, Pastor Catie Newman, officiating. Interment was in Bonaparte Cemetery. Military rites provided by the Bonaparte American Legion Post #563.
