Description	:	Palmyra: Richard E. Wyman Sr. 83 died July 2, 2016 at a Pittsfield hospital following a short period of ill health. Richard was born in Newport March 14, 1933 the son of Harold C. and Irene G. (Hanson) Wyman. He was educated in Newport schools. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Richard was born in Newport March 14, 1933 the son of Harold C. and Irene G. (Hanson) Wyman. He was educated in Newport schools. Richard was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was stationed in Japan. Following Richards discharge from the Army he went to work at the Hartland Tannery working as a finisher for over 30 years. He was married to Anita E. Wyman who predeceased him on Aug. 26, 2008. He enjoyed woodworking and was a fine carpenter. He also loved working on is vehicles in his driveway. Richard is survived by his daughter and her husband Susan and Gary Smith of St. Albans, Me, two sons, Richard E. Wyman Jr. and his wife Sally of Laconia, NH, Michael Brooks of Florida, his sister and her husband Claudette and Ronald Tasker of Hartland, a brother-in-law Victor Pomerleau of Canaan, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, a son Brian Brooks and a step son, Dennis Brooks, his brother, Lloyd, his sister, Norma. At Richards request there are no public visitations. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Hartland. In lieu of flowers the family request the friends how wish may make memorial donations to a charity of your choice.
