He graduated from Coburn Classical Institute, served in the Navy for 2-1/2 years and attended Colby College. He retired from Keyes Fibre Company as Manager of Engineering Administration in 1989 with 34 years of service. Read More	WATERVILLE - Richard F. Cyr died on March 27, 2015 in Waterville. He was born Dec. 24, 1925 in Waterville. He was the son of Wilfred and Antoinette Cyr. He graduated from Coburn Classical Institute, served in the Navy for 2-1/2 years and attended Colby College. He retired from Keyes Fibre Company as Manager of Engineering Administration in 1989 with 34 years of service. He was civic minded, having served as past president of the Waterville Area Chamber of Commerce, past campaign chairman of the United Way of Mid Maine, a Literacy Volunteer teacher, former member of the Waterville Zoning Board, and volunteer Income Tax counselor for the elderly. He also served as President of the Notre Dame Federal Credit Union and was a director of the Keyes Fibre Federal Credit Union. Survivors include his wife of 65 years Helene Z. (Gagne') Cyr; one son Richard F. Cyr of Waterville and four daughters, Elaine Jones of Fairfax, Va., Denise Lord of Falmouth, Julie Cyr of Belfast, and Michelle Cyr/Plumstead of Waterville. In addition he is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Nathan and Forbes Horton, Julian and Ella Gallo, Samuel and Jackson Lord, Hannah Duffy, Grace Skoczenski, Jules and Miles Jones; four great-grandchildren, Max and Hendrix Horton, Wheeler Lord, and Finnegan Duffy; and a sister-in-law, Cecile Pasha. He was predeceased by a brother Donald and a sister Eleanore. At his request he will be cremated. There will be no visiting hours and a memorial mass will be held on Monday April 6 at 9:00 a.m. at Notre Dame Church in Waterville. Central Maine Newspapers 4/2/2015)
