Jones Mortuary at Mitchell is in charge of the arrangements. He was born Dec. 27, 1931, in Huntley, Wyo., the son of Joy and Freda (Thomson) Roberts. He attended schools at Huntley and Lyman. On July 26, 1950, He joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After basic training at Camp Pendleton, Calif., he was sent to Korea, where he was wounded and recived the Purple Heart . He was then sent to Camp Lejune to train troops until he was honorably discharged in 1953. He married Dorothy Wooden in 1954; they were divorced in 1956. He then married Eldora Greif March 7, 1958, and they later divorced. He was employed by the Great Western Sugar Co. as a mechanic and later as head welder. His spare time was spent hunting and fishing which he avidly pursued after retirement. He is survived by daughters Roxanne Singletary of Portland, Ore., and Lee Bosarge of Peachtree, Ga.; son Richard of Vancouver, Wash.; granddaughters Amanda Singletary and Jessica and Bethany Bosarge; grandsons Travis and Trevor Roberts; sisters Elsie Stiver, Donna Kautz and Mary Misner, all of Mitchell; and a host of good friends and neighbors.
