He died April 4, 1964 at the Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 22 days. He moved with his family to Naper, Nebraska in 1906, where he finished his schooling. He died April 4, 1964 at the Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, at the age of 70 years, 8 months and 22 days. He moved with his family to Naper, Nebraska in 1906, where he finished his schooling. March 30, 1914 he married Maude Josephine Wadsworth at Fairfax, South Dakota. To this union four children were born. Mr and Mrs Larson had just celebrated their golden wedding anniversary March 30. After their marriage they moved to Dunlap, Iowa where they farmed until 1926, after which they returned to Harlan vicinity. He is survived by his wife Maude of Harlan; two sons, Louis L. of Omaha and Duane V. of Idaho Springs, CO; two daughters, Laura Pedersen of Wiesbaden, Germany and Ula Marie Schuemann of Aurora, Illinois; three brothers, John of Atlanta, GA, Marcus of Springfielf, MO, and Louis in Tennessee; three sisters, Christena Severns of Springfield, Mo, Laura Abraham of Orange, CA and Jennie NcNulty of Melburne, FL; also 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held April 7, 1964, at 2 p.m. at the Pauley Home for Funerals with Rev. Roy W. Pfaff, officiating. Burial was in the Harlan Cemetery with Leonard Buter, Charles Hatcher, Duane Larson Jr, Virgil Lary, William Wadsworth and Frank Schuemann Jr serving as pallbearers.
