Description	:	Richard K. Lacey, 81, of Marshalltown, entered into eternal life, Friday, March 30, 2012, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. A memorial gathering will begin one hour prior to the service at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home. Inurnment at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens will be with Military Honors by the Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 American Legion and the Harry C.Harter Post #839 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorial contributions may be made to the LeGrand Friends Church. Richard was born August 4, 1930 to Deloss and Alida (Bru) Lacey in Marshalltown Ia. He graduated from Marshalltown High School and joined the U.S. Air Force. He married Joyce Williams March 31, 1951 in Marshalltown. Richard worked as a farmer, was a supervisor at Grey Iron Works and retired from MMSC in 1993. He was a member of the Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 American Legion and enjoyed fishing, bird watching, and spending time with his entire family especially at the cabin in Pine Lake. He was a true Hawkeye and Cubs fan and in the past been very active in Marshalltown Little League. He will be missed by his wife of 61 years Joyce, his two sets of twins; Larry of LeGrand and Garry of Marshalltown and Mark of Des Moines and Margie Witt of Urbandale, his grandchildren; Amy Wyatt, Kenny Lacey, Jennifer Weatherman, Dustin Lacey, Jeff Lindsey and Kathy Johanns, his 11 great grandchildren and a brother John Lane. he joins in eternal life a great granddaughter Kaitlyn Weatherman.
