He was born October 28, 1921, in Wabash County, the son of Lamoine M. and Ethel J. (McDonald) Jenkins. On March 5, 1944, in North Manchester, he married Carolyn R. Miller, and she survives. He was born October 28, 1921, in Wabash County, the son of Lamoine M. and Ethel J. (McDonald) Jenkins. On March 5, 1944, in North Manchester, he married Carolyn R. Miller, and she survives. He retired from Delco Electronics in 1981 after 38 years of service. At the time of his retirement, he was an Asst. Chief Engineer. He was a former Adjunct Faculty member at Purdue¬IUK. He was a 1939 graduate of Linlawn High School in Wabash and a 1944 graduate of Purdue University. Alumni and Professional memberships included the Purdue Alumni Assn; The John Purdue Club; The Purdue/Kokomo 400 Club; and Eta Kappa Nu and Tau Beta Pi, honorary engineering fraternities. His church membership for over 54 years was First Friends Meeting where he had served as Clerk, Chairman of the Trustees, Finance Board, and Ministries and Evangelism. He had also participated in the Western Yearly Meeting. Other memberships included the Kokomo Lions Club where he had served as secretary and a former member of the Kokomo Country Club. He was a Trustee at Earlham College in Richmond. Survivors, in addition to his wife, are two sons and their wives, Steven and Gale Jenkins of Goshen and David and Laura Jenkins of Murchison, TX; two daughters and their husbands, Beverly and David Stokes of St. Louis, MO and Judith and Dan Sheridan of Kokomo; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Summers and her husband, Jon; Andrew Jenkins and his wife Kimberly; Stephanie Jenkins, all of Goshen; Lindsay Jenkins of Murfreesboro, TN; Haley Jenkins and Micah Jenkins of Indianapolis; Nicholas Stokes of Champaign, IL; Adam Stokes of St. Louis, MO; and Nicole Sheridan and Paige Sheridan, both of Kokomo; a foster sister and her husband, Betty and John Tharpe of Santa Fe, NM; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Henry Jenkins (Find A Grave Memorial# 32864683) and one granddaughter, Carmen Jenkins (Find A Grave Memorial# 52715270) Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2001
