Description	:	SIDNEY - Richard Leclair, 64, passed away on Monday, Aug. 3, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Waterville on Aug. 3, 1951, the son of Roger J. Leclair and Yvette Veilleux Leclair. Dick attended schools in Winslow, graduating from Winslow High School in 1969. He then studied medical technology and graduated from Carnegie Institute in Boston. He also obtained his associate's degree in applied sciences from Thomas College. He was born in Waterville on Aug. 3, 1951, the son of Roger J. Leclair and Yvette Veilleux Leclair. Dick attended schools in Winslow, graduating from Winslow High School in 1969. He then studied medical technology and graduated from Carnegie Institute in Boston. He also obtained his associate's degree in applied sciences from Thomas College. Dick was actively involved with the American Medical Technology Association and served as Eastern District Counselor for several years. He worked for the Waterville Osteopathic Hospital, Franklin Memorial Hospital, and for Dr. Fred J. Lagomarsino at Maine Eye Care for several years. In recent years, he had been employed by L.L Bean. He served the community through the Waterville Elks Lodge and acted as the Exalted Ruler from 2000-2001. Dick will always be remembered for his love of people and his sense of humor. His smile and quick wit could light up a room! Dick is survived by his loving and devoted wife Claire "Butler" Leclair of 42 years; his daughter Jennifer and husband Jason Cyr; the "apples of his eyes" his 3 grandchildren Gavin, Allison and Benjamin all of Waterville. He is also survived by his sisters Estelle Clyde and her husband John of Smithfield, Jane Marden and her husband John of Oakland. His wife's family Lee Butler and his wife Wanda of Florida, Regina Gallant and her husband Michael of Florida, Donnie Butler and his wife Sheila of Clinton, and Sally Sawlivich and her husband John of Winthrop; along with several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring staff at Maine Medical Center in Portland and Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, in particular, Fr. Paul Marquis and David Gant for the support provided to the family. A graveside service will be held at St. Francis Cemetery in Waterville. It was Dick's wish, in lieu of flowers, to set up a scholarship fund for his three wonderful grandchildren.
