Read More	Richard Lee Reints, age 66, of Clarksville, Iowa, was born November 5, 1943, the son of Datert and Lelah Poppe Reints at home in rural Butler County near Clarksville, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Clarksville High School in 1962. Richard was united in marriage with Sherry Petitt on February 26, 1965, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Clarksville, Iowa. Richard was drafted into the U.S. Army on November 15, 1966, and was honorably discharged November 14, 1968. Richard was employed with Terex Cranes in Waverly for 38 years until he retired on January 31, 2005. He was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Clarksville where he had served as a deacon. He was also a member of the Clarksville AMVETs Post #30. Richard enjoyed trap shooting for which he had received over a dozen plaques. He loved the outdoors and hunting, fishing and camping. He also enjoyed his carpentry hobby. He loved to spend time with his family and play with his grandchildren. Richard had many friends and was always there for others as he loved to help people. Richard died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Waverly Health Center after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Datert and Lelah Reints. Richard is survived by his wife, Sherry Reints, of Clarksville, Iowa; two sons, Kevin Reints, Clarksville, Iowa and Timothy (Jessi) Reints, Clarksville, Iowa; two grandchildren, Brandt Reints and Leyton Reints; one brother, Leonard (Darlene) Reints, Plainfield, Iowa; one sister, Arlene (Harold) Meyer, Onawa, Iowa; one sister-in-law, Donna (Richard) Lindloff, Clarksville, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2009, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ with burial in Lynwood Cemetery, both in Clarksville. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville, (319) 278-4245 and continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
