Description	:	Richard Lee Strothkamp was born to Robert Earl Strothkamp and Anna Marie Diedrich on February 10, 1943, in Geneva. He passed away on July 23, 2005, at the Fillmore County Hospital at the age of 62 years, five months, and 13 days. He was one of two children in the family. Rich graduated from Geneva High School with the class of 1960. After graduation, he went to work for DX with Orval Ellison. Later, he worked for the State of Nebraska, OK Tire and Geneva Grain Company before joining his father and brother in farming. He was married to DeAnna Stengel on February 3, 1964, and they were blessed with a son and daughter. Rich enjoyed fishing and hunting and visits from his none granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Anna Strothkamp; brother, Robert and father-in-law, Ernest Stengel. Rich is survived by his wife, DeAnna; son Paul and wife Colleen; daughter Nancy and husband, David Laschanzky; grandchildren, Sydney and Paige Strothkamp, Crystal, Cassandra, Nicolette, and Alexandria Kluna; Montana, Sierra and Sheyanne Laschanzky; sister-in-law, Carol Strothkamp; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dale and Jeanette Stengel, Gerry and Loydeen Stengel, Dan and Jeanette Stengel, Judy Zimmer, Gene and Ron Bowen, Mary and John Kopecky; mother-in-law, Viola Stengel; and surviving nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Geneva on Wednesday July 27, with Father McGuire officiating. Organist was Carol Grote who accompanied soloist Geriann Rada.
