Description	:	Son of Arthur & Wilhemina (Awiszus) Von Seggern. He was baptized and confirmed at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk, and attended high school in Pilger. He married Beverly Dohren on July 28, 1957, at the Methodist Church in Pilger. Richard served in the Army from 1954-56, and worked as a truck driver for Christensen Trucking, Moorman's Feed Company and Land O' Lakes before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, camping, traveling and restoring and showing antique cars. Richard served in the Army from 1954-56, and worked as a truck driver for Christensen Trucking, Moorman's Feed Company and Land O' Lakes before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, camping, traveling and restoring and showing antique cars. He was a member of the Norfolk Antique Car Club, the International Show Car Association and the Crown Victoria Association of which he served as a Western Regional Director for many years. He and his wife traveled and showed his antique cars for 25 years all over the United States and Canada and he treasured the friends he made and the wall of trophies he received. He also enjoyed living in the retirement court during the winters in Arizona. He served as a volunteer fireman for the Stanton Fire Department for many years and served as fire chief, as well as president of that organization. He is survived by his wife Beverly of Stanton; daughter, Cammy (Steven) Otten, and grandsons, Grant and Matthew Otten, all of Columbus; sister, Lois (Ronnie) Miller, of Lyons; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Mather, of West Des Moines, Iowa, Pam Brandt, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Pat (Dave) Hall, of Louisberg, Kansas; brother-in-law, David (Judy) Dohren, of Medford, Ore.; as well as many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, mother, father, two sisters, and one brother.
