Born on March 13, 1907, to John Scott and Carrie Emma Cain George, he was retired from Laurens Glass Co., was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, and was a member of Laurens First Baptist Church. Also surviving are eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Annie Williams of Tryon, N.C. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 6, 2004, at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Kennedy Mortuary, Laurens.
