Description	:	From Billings Gazette, Nov. 8 ,2011- Laurel- Richard Robinson passed away on the morning of Nov.6, 2011 and moved on to greener pastures, his body had given away to kidney failure at the age of 76. Richard was born June 15, 1935, to Jeffrey and Mertis (Dutton) Robinson, born in Red Lodge and raised on the family ranch at Elbow Creek. Richard was born June 15, 1935, to Jeffrey and Mertis (Dutton) Robinson, born in Red Lodge and raised on the family ranch at Elbow Creek. Richard attended grade school at the Loyning School on Elbow Creek. He graduated from Bridger High School in 1953. Richard was heavily involved in running the ranch when he met his future wife, Alice Crawford, in June of 1960. After a short courtship they married on Aug 1,1960. The young couple remained on the family ranch until 1965, when they started a quest for a new area to call home. The family lived for awhile in Savage, Glasgow, Hardin area, Silesia. In 1976 they found their home of many years in Ashland, where they finished raising their seven children. While in the Ashland area he worked on a local ranch, the Ashland Sawmill as a millwright; then finishing his working career at Montana Power Company in Colstrip in 1999. In his retirement years, he farmed land in the Ashland area until his health would no longer allow him to carry on the work he so loved. In 2007 Richard and Alice moved to Columbus area to be closer to medical care. In 2010 they loved to Laurel Health and Rehabilitation Center. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Alice (Crawford) Robinson, siblings, Eliza (Larry) Hinderager of Blackfoot, Id, Arthur Robinson of Dillon, Annie (Charlie) Hoskin of Blackfoot, Id; children, Jeff (Valerie), Millie (Fred) Bokma, Ronda (Ward) Gatlin,Tom (Lynn), Jane (Candace), Lemuel, and George (Rose); grandchildren, Tessa (Patten) Tauck, Gene, Danni Rae, John, Jordan and Drew Anne Gatlin; Richard Bokma, Robin Robinson, Thomas, Hunter, Eliot and Mitchell Robinson, Savannah Robinson, Michael and Michelle Knapp, Rick, Randall, Beth and Jeff Bokma, Tara Spear and Devin Ehart. HE was preceded in death by his parents, Jeffrey adn Mertis Robinson, daughter, Manetta Kaye Robinson, and nephew, John Hoskin. Services will be held Nov 11, 2011 at Smithe Funeral Chapel, followed by a luncheon in Laurel. Burial will be at Fox at the Robinson (Clear Creek) cemetery at 3 p.m. The family wants to send heartfelt thanks for the Laurel Health and Rehabilitation center for their incredible care and kindness they showed Richard while he was under their care. It is the wish of the family that all memorials and or donations are given to DCI (dialysis clinic) at Billings.
