Description	:	Richard Roth, 83, Milford, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at his home southwest of Milford. He was born July 11, 1932, near Milford, the son of Amos and Phoebe (Roth) Roth, the fifth child and second son. Richard attended Riverview Country School near Beaver Crossing. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at West Fairview Mennonite Church. He served his IW service in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Read More	Richard Roth, 83, Milford, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at his home southwest of Milford. He was born July 11, 1932, near Milford, the son of Amos and Phoebe (Roth) Roth, the fifth child and second son. Richard attended Riverview Country School near Beaver Crossing. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at West Fairview Mennonite Church. He served his IW service in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. On August 30, 1953, he was united in marriage to Mary Joan Stauffer at East Fairview Mennonite Church. This marriage was blessed with four sons: Martin Glen, Wendell Scott, Darwin Richard and Jason Bryce. They made their home briefly in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa before returning to Nebraska to farm. In his lifetime, Richard enjoyed working, which included, butchering, disc sharpening, farming and welding. He was a member of East Fairview Mennonite Church. Over the past 35 years, Richard and Mary opened their home to numerous foster children. Rich is survived by: his wife, Mary; sons, Martin and Arla Roth, Wendell and Susan Roth, Darwin and Barbara Roth, Jason and JoAnn Roth; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Maurice and Eileen Roth, Kenneth and Vada Roth, and Carley Roth; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Roth; many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Rich was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Glen and Florence (Stutzman) Stauffer; brother, Norman Roth; sister and brothers-in-law, Erma and Enos Nisly, Geraldine and Richard Roth, Wilma Roth, sister-in-law, Anne Beckler. Funeral service on Saturday, February 13, 2016, East Fairview Mennonite Church, Milford. Interment in the East Fairview Cemetery. Obituary information from the Lincoln Journal Star.
