Description	:	Richard W. “Dick” Marlowe, age 78, of Clinton, died Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today, February 17th, at the Pape Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Jacobsen officiated. Burial was in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers were Andy Krick, Tom McConnell, Joel Choate, Pat McConnell Steve Bousselot and Burton Marlowe. Richard was born in Clinton on November 14, 1930, the son of Orville E. and Marie Niebuhr Marlowe. He graduated from Lyons High School in 1948 and received a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of Dubuque. Dick married Marjorie Price on November 21, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clinton. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Dick was employed as a data processor at the Collis Company in Clinton. He retired in 1992. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a former Quartermaster of the Clinton VFW Post 8486. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Richard is survived by his wife, Marjorie; two daughters, Karen Krick of Clinton and Marilee (Patrick) McConnell of Machanicsville, IA; four grandchildren, Katie (Joel) Choate, Andy Krick, Tom McConnell and Maggie McConnell; two sisters, Doris (Christian) Jacobsen and Mary Lou (Ed) Asmus, both of Clinton; and a brother, Orville J. Marlowe of Bethel Park, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, David Marlowe and Gerald Marlowe; and a sister, Jean Elizabeth Marlowe. Death date: Feb. 14, 2009
