| Description | : | Death of Mr. R. W. Norwood. Waxhaw Enterprise. Mr. Richard W. Norwood died at his home here late Saturday afternoon of dropsy and complications after an illness of many months. Until sickness drove him home "uncle Dick" was a familiar figure on our streets. He was born on January 14th, 1842, and was a brave and loyal Confederate soldier, serving throughout the war in Company A, 39th Regiment North Carolina Infantry.
