Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, May 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Hoyle Henry Harris and Ida (Poole) Harris of Spartanburg. Mrs. Harris was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and homemaker with an enthusiastic love for flower gardening. Having grown up in the Beaumont Baptist Church, she attended a number of Baptist churches during her years of living in various states along the east coast. Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, May 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Hoyle Henry Harris and Ida (Poole) Harris of Spartanburg. Mrs. Harris was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and homemaker with an enthusiastic love for flower gardening. Having grown up in the Beaumont Baptist Church, she attended a number of Baptist churches during her years of living in various states along the east coast. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, John Floyd Harris in February 2009. She is survived by daughter, Judy Ward and husband Buddy of Buford, GA; sons, Joel Harris and wife Christine of Raleigh, NC, Phillip Harris and wife Julie of Roebuck, SC, and Jeffrey Harris of Palm Harbor, FL; daughter, Jonna Schultz of Trinity, FL; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Wright of Chesnee, SC; sisters-in-law, Grace Harris and Bessie Harris, both of Spartanburg, and Lora Switzer and husband Charles of Roebuck, SC; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Coyle (wife Catherine), Hoyle, and James Oliver Harris. The received visitors Friday, August 26, 2011, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel.
