Born on February 6, 1927, in East Chicago, Indiana, she was the daughter of Alexander and Magdalena “Margaret” Pozycki (nee Breclaw). She married Russell M. Helt on June 25, 1949. Read More	Rita Dorothy Helt (nee Pozycki) Fort Worth, TX, 89, a devoted wife and mother, passed away on August 11, 2016 after a brief illness in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on February 6, 1927, in East Chicago, Indiana, she was the daughter of Alexander and Magdalena “Margaret” Pozycki (nee Breclaw). She married Russell M. Helt on June 25, 1949. They lived in Hammond until 1956 and in Highland from 1956 until 1994. A tireless volunteer with a tender heart, she spent her life caring for others. She had a successful career as a buyer of women’s apparel & accessories and a manager for the Highland Department Store, in Highland, Indiana. She and Russell later enjoyed their retirement in Venice, Florida where they had many friends. Rita is survived by her beloved son David Russell Helt and wife Sheryl (nee Bryan), grandchildren Allison and Nathan, all of Fort Worth, Texas, nephew Ben “Butch” Dove (Melinda), who she raised, and niece Eloise Dove of Terre Haute, Indiana, and 8 more nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, brothers Harry Pozycki, Sr., and Joseph Pozycki, and sister Frances Williams (nee Pozycki). Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, at Helt’s Prairie Cemetery in Hillsdale, Indiana with Father Varghese Maliekal officiating under the direction of Frist Funeral Home in Clinton.
