Description	:	Rita C. Vanderah, 89, formerly of Haverhill, died Jan. 21, 2007, at Grandview Heights Care Center. A funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Haverhill, with Fr. Louis Jaeger as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m. at the Estel-Perin-Avey Chapel. Memorials may be made to Iowa River Hospice. On April 24, 1946, in Haverhill, she was married to Victor Vanderah. Rita worked on the farm, at Thunderbird Restaurant, Marshalltown Manor and Grandview Heights Care Center. She liked to quilt, crochet, bake and in retirement liked to go on her trips. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Monica's and Haverhill Quilters. Rita is survived by her three children Linda (Jim) Landt of Marshalltown, Rick (Nancy) Vanderah of Marshalltown and Mike (Bert) Vanderah of Haverhill; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Todd, Josh, Abby, Grant, Gary and Chelsea; three great-grandchildren Merle, Alex and Jackson; and her brother Robert Jansen of Cleveland, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor in 1992; brothers Walter and LeRoy Jansen; sisters Esther Vanderah, Leona Gildart and Vera Jansen; and one granddaughter Loretta.
