Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Hachmann Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bellevue. Rita was born on Dec. 26, 1923, in rural Bellevue, daughter of Dominic and Florence (Weis) Kilburg. She married Raymond J. Roling on April 24, 1947; he preceded her in death on Nov. 4, 1999. They shared 52 wonderful years together. Rita was very devoted to her family, friends and community. In her early years, she farmed with her husband in the Spragueville and Sugar Creek areas. In 1955, they bought a farm north of Bellevue. After retiring in 1984, Rita and Ray moved to town. She was extremely devoted to her church and Christian faith. She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish and its Rosary Society. She was very generous with her time, volunteering at Mill Valley Care Center, American Legion Auxiliary, Quilting Missions and 46 years at the St. Joseph/Marquette Hot Lunch Program. Surviving are a son, Ron (Patricia), of Bellevue; two daughters, Bonnie (Tom) Bruck, of Zwingle, and Peggy (Tom) Manderscheid, of Maquoketa; a son-in-law, Nicholas Hoffmann, of Walnut, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six brothers, Alvin, of Bellevue, Earl (Katie), of Preston, Lloyd, of Maquoketa, Ken (Jean), Leo (Janis) and Vince (Judy), all of Bellevue; and four sisters, Marcella Banowetz, of De Witt, Edna Reuter and Vera (Levi) Schmidt, both of Maquoketa, and Dula (Leon) Tebbe, of Bellevue. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Hoffmann on May 14, 2011, and two brothers, Albert and Vernon.
