Description	:	Robert Allen Ritz, 69, of Rural Ottumwa, Iowa passed away on October 18, 2017 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born on August 11, 1948 to Henry and Marjorie Snelling Ritz in Douds, Iowa. Bob grew up in the Douds/Selma area. He served in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he did several different things for his career. He was considered a “jack of all trades” by his friends and family. He was born on August 11, 1948 to Henry and Marjorie Snelling Ritz in Douds, Iowa. Bob grew up in the Douds/Selma area. He served in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge, he did several different things for his career. He was considered a “jack of all trades” by his friends and family. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Dovico of Selma, North Carolina, Tonia Jones of Newton Grove, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Allison Cubbage of Ottumwa, Iowa, Chelsea Lopez of Charlotte, North Carolina, Sam Dovico currently stationed in Germany for the United States Air Force; two great-grandchildren, Timothy and Nicholas Cubbage; three brothers, Denis Ritz, Jack Ritz, and Van Ritz. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Joseph Ritz, Thomas Ritz; and a nephew, Dwayne Ritz. Per his wishes, his body has been cremated. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Leando Cemetery in Douds, Iowa with Pastor Phil Campbell officiating. Memorial contributions in Bob’s honor may be made to Iowa City VA Health Care System and may be mailed to the funeral home at PO Box 455, Keosauqua, Iowa 52565.
