Burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Carneiro City Cemetery, Carneiro, the Rev. Mike Longdon officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Walker died Friday, May 21, 1993, at their home near Simpson. Mr. Walker was born Nov. 29, 1945, in Salina. He lived briefly in Scott City and Geneseo, moving to Simpson in 1968. He was a manager and operator of the Asherville Grain Co. and was a stockman. He was a member and director of the Kansas Livestock Association, the American Quarter Horse Association, the Mitchell County Cattleman's Association and the Beloit Country Club. Survivors include a son, Shane of Salina; a daughter, Sheila Soetaert of Lenexa; his mother, Evelyn Walker of Salina; four brothers, Ray of Brookville, Donnie and Bill, both of Salina, and Duane of Canton; seven sisters, Virginia Vanek of Carneiro, Helen Pflughoeft of Ellsworth, Berniece Zimmerman of North Platte, Neb., Ramona Wagner, Dixie Walker, Gerre Elam and Ernestine Allen, all of Salina; and a grandchild. Memorials may be made to the Bob and Marty Walker Cattle Company Memorial Scholarship Fund. Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the McDonald Funeral Home, 910 N. Campbell, Beloit, 67420.
