Description	:	Robert A. Hoffman, age 77 of 276 Tomahawk Trail, died, Wednesday morning, July 14, 2004 at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. Graveside services will be held 10:00 Saturday morning at the Buck Creek Cemetery, rural Hopkinton with Military Honors. Memorial services will follow at 10:30 at the Buck Creek Methodist Church. Rev. Julie May and Rev Garrett Robinson will officiate at the services. Memorials may be made to the Buck Creek Methodist Church or the Cedar Rapids Calvary Chapel. Surviving is his wife, Roberta, and a daughter Beth Hoffman both of Cedar Rapids, a sister, Doris Swartz, EauClaire, Wisconsin, and a half-brother, George Hoffman, Minneapolis, Minnesota.Robert Arthur Hoffman was born September 11, 1926 at EauClaire, Wisconsin. He was the son of Arthur Robert and Hattie Lischitke, Hoffman. Robert graduated from high school in 1944 at EauClaire, Wisconsin. He then served in the United States Navy during WWII. Robert completed his education at the University of Michigan receiving his BA and his MBA, and then becoming a CPA. Robert was employed by the accounting firm, Deloitte Plender Haskens and Sells working in Chicago, Tokyo, London, Columbia and Costa Rica. Robert A. Hoffman and Roberta Moulton were married May 16, 1959 at the Buck Creek Methodist Church. Robert later worked for NCR in Dayton, Ohio. In 1973 he was employed by Mercantile Bank in St. Louis, Missouri as the bank auditor. The couple retired to Cedar Rapids in 1991.
