Description	:	Robert "Bob" Leech, age 81 of Sidney, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, Iowa, following a brief illness. Bob was born May 20, 1930, in Oregon, Mo., to Leonard McKinley Leech and Avis May (Hackett) Leech. He attended grade school in Hamburg, Iowa, and later moved to Hastings, Neb., where he attended and graduated from high school in 1948. Read More	Robert "Bob" Leech, age 81 of Sidney, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood, Iowa, following a brief illness. Bob was born May 20, 1930, in Oregon, Mo., to Leonard McKinley Leech and Avis May (Hackett) Leech. He attended grade school in Hamburg, Iowa, and later moved to Hastings, Neb., where he attended and graduated from high school in 1948. He was inducted into the U.S. Army in 1951, was shipped to overseas duty in Germany and was discharged in 1953. His parents moved to Sidney so he came home to help his parents in the dry cleaning business. Bob was also employed as a school bus driver for the Sidney Community Schools for 10 years. Bob was married to Marvis Lundgren from Shenandoah, Iowa, on April 9, 1955. He worked for 25 years with the Fremont County Roads Department in Sidney until retiring in 1992. Bob was a member of the Sidney United Methodist Church, a long time member of the Williams-Jobe-American Legion Post 128 of Sidney, and the Sidney Chamber of Commerce. He loved sports, especially Nebraska football. He is survived by his wife, Marvis Leech of Sidney, Iowa; son, Greg Leech and wife Connie of Beatrice, Neb.; daughter, Melinda Hayes and husband Lonnie of Glenwood, Iowa; two grandchildren, Jennifer Prososki and husband Chris of Lexington, Neb., and Jeremy Leech of Chicago, Ill. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Sidney United Methodist Church, Sidney, Iowa, with the Rev. Jan Phillips officiating. Visitation will be open after 6 p.m. Friday and the family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Sidney, Iowa. Memorials will go to the Sidney United Methodist Church or the Sidney Rescue Squad. Interment will be in the Sidney, Iowa, Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Williams-Jobe-Gibson American Legion Post 128 of Sidney
