His burial here on November 14, 1924 in an unmarked grave is noted in a death certificate that was not even filled out until July 13, 1925 and a birthdate was guessed as being 1854. The cause of death was progressive spastic paralysis and interstitial chronic nephritis, and it is noted he had been paralyzed. He must have suffered terribly and appeared even older than he was, having received only minimal medical care at the Poor Farm.
