Loved brother of Marion of Guelph, John of Toronto and predeceased by his sister Elizabeth (Betty) wife of Harvey MacPherson of Kitchener. Bruce graduated from the University of Toronto in 1934 and then obtained his Masters in Astromony the following year. He began his teaching career at Pelham High School in Fenwick in 1935 and moved to Orillia in 1943. He taught at O.D.C.V.I. until he became the first principal of Park Street in 1961. He retired from teaching in 1973. Bruce was very active in the life and work of St. Paul's United Church and was an active Rotarian for over 40 years. He was a District Governor of Rotary in 1975/6. Friends may call at Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and at St. Paul's Unived Church, Peter & Coldwater Sts/. Orillia on Monday afternoon, September 21st from 1 o'clock until time of Funeral service celebrating the life of Bruce at l:30 p.m. Following cremation, interment at Grove Cemetery, Dundas. If desired, Memorial Donations to St. Paul's United Church, The Salvation Army or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
