Description	:	Robert Charles, the son of William, Sr. and Mabel (Paulson) Burrow, was born March 27, 1923 in Clermont. He was baptized and confirmed at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. Bob graduated from Clermont High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was stationed in Florida. While in Florida he met his wife, Virginia Clark. He was baptized and confirmed at the West Clermont Lutheran Church. Bob graduated from Clermont High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was stationed in Florida. While in Florida he met his wife, Virginia Clark. Bob and Virginia were united in marriage on November 17, 1946 at the West Clermont Lutheran Church parsonage. The couple moved to Ohio, where Bob farmed with his father-in-law. In 1951, Bob and Virginia moved to Oelwein, Iowa where Bob worked as a mechanic in his uncle’s service station. They moved to Clermont in 1958 and farmed. Virginia preceded him in death on November 10, 1981. Bob retired from the farm in 1986. He then went to work servicing silos for A.O. Smith Harvestore, retiring in 1991. Bob was a member of the Sheehan-Olson American Legion in Clermont and was the longtime chairman for the Clermont Threshing Days Parade Committee. He enjoyed playing Summer League Softball for the Valhalla Softball Team and he loved to go snowmobiling. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; a son, John Burrow; a great grandson, Matthew Burrow; his parents; one brother, William Burrow, Jr.; and his special friend, Lois Luchsinger.
