Donald Bakewell officiating. Burial was in the Holy Cross cemetery with the Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died Dec. 19 at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minn. Robert Charles Pesek was born May 22 in Howard county, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pesek. He attended Protivin Catholic school and rural county school. He was a carpenter and tavern operator. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic church and the Holy Name society. June 15, 1948 Robert Pesek married Genevieve Balik. She died June 3, 1972. Then on June 23, 1973, he married Lorraine Vokaty. He was preceded in death by his mother; and his first wife. Mr. Pesek is survived by his wife, Lorraine; four children, Gerald Pesek of Des Moines, Stephen Pesek of St. Lucas, Mrs. Andy (Jean) Bina of Spillville, Julie Pesek at home; four step children, Wayne Vokaty, Maureen Vokaty, Jillaine Vokaty and Roby Vokaty, all at home; three grandchildren; a brother, Art Pesek of Cresco; a sister, Mrs. Harold Henkes of Cresco; and his father, Charles Pesek. Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Albert Lea, Minn., Canton, Ill., Des Moines, Charles City, Waterloo, Ossian, Waucoma, Ionia, Lawler, Mason City, Calmar, Cedar Rapids, Lisbon, St. Lucas, Ft. Atkinson, Decorah, Ridgeway, Protivin, Elma, Spillville, West Union, Cresco, Lourdes and Schley.
