Description	:	Robert Chris Borgaard, 89, of Minden died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at Bethany Home in Minden.was born June 26, 1922, near Minden to Anton and Carrie (Tomsen) Borgaard. On July 27, 1957, he married Wanda Fisher in Kearney. She preceded him in death. Survivors are: daughter, Cindy Hartzell of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren, Robby and Jenna; son-in-law, Arnie Hayman and his family of Ogden; stepson, Robert T. On July 27, 1957, he married Wanda Fisher in Kearney. She preceded him in death. Survivors are: daughter, Cindy Hartzell of Ogden, Utah; grandchildren, Robby and Jenna; son-in-law, Arnie Hayman and his family of Ogden; stepson, Robert T. Meyer of Ralston; and sister, Ellen Crooker of Alaska. Robert rode his John Deere tractor from this worldly farm. Robert grew up in the Minden area and graduated from Minden High School. He farmed and trucked with his father and a brother, Harry. He and Wanda lived and farmed south of Minden. Robert was a member of Fredericksburg Lutheran Church. He was active in 4-H and never missed the Nebraska State Fair until his health prevented going. He had been a member of the Good Sam's Camping Club since 1979. He and Wanda enjoyed traveling the United States in their camper. Robert was proud to have received the Pioneer Farm Award for 100 years of ownership of the family farm. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Beverly Hayman; and brother, Harry Borgaard. Graveside services were at Fredericksburg Lutheran Cemetery south of Minden, NE.
