Bob was born in Lethbridge, Alberta and spent most of his life in the Fort Macleod area. He farmed south of Fort Macleod for several years and he remained a well-known figure to the farming community through his dedicated work at the Fort Macleod Feed Mill. Bob married Ellen McCorkle in January of 1939. He loved gardening, but his greatest love was for his family, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bob will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends. Besides his wife Ellen, he is survived by: two daughters, Bobby Wiley of Fort Macleod, Irene (Jim) Thompson of St. Albert, three brothers, Roddy (Lilly) Hilliard of Fort Macleod, Stan (Shirley) Hilliard of Fort Macleod, Ken (Alice) Hilliard of Calgary; two sisters, Mary Seattle of Fort Macleod and Eileen Shields of Calgary and by their families; six grandchildren,; and a great-grandchild, Predeceased by his parents, Christopher Hilliard in 1939, Corinne Hillard in 1968 and by one sister, Marguerite Roberts in 1963
