Description	:	Robert "Bob" D. Devous, 67, of Billings passed away early Wednesday, Sept 11, 2002, at Deaconess Billings Clinic. He was born in Billings of Feb 11, 1935, the son of John William Devous and Ruby Frances (nee Berry) Devous. Bob was schooled in Hardin and returned to Billings, where he married Carole A. Krueger on July 26, 1957. He worked for Burlington Northern Transport and Fred Briggs Distributing Co. and later was service manager for Industrial Tool and Repair. Devous, 67, of Billings passed away early Wednesday, Sept 11, 2002, at Deaconess Billings Clinic. He was born in Billings of Feb 11, 1935, the son of John William Devous and Ruby Frances (nee Berry) Devous. Bob was schooled in Hardin and returned to Billings, where he married Carole A. Krueger on July 26, 1957. He worked for Burlington Northern Transport and Fred Briggs Distributing Co. and later was service manager for Industrial Tool and Repair. Upon retirement due to medical reasons, he became a proud volunteer at Deaconess Hospital. Bob was a fine craftsman and was very well known for playing and building his own steel guitars. In his younger years, he played the steel guitar in various Western bands. Survivors include two sons, Mike and his wife, Janet, and Tom and his wife, Krysia; grandsons Jeff and Kyle; and granddaughters Nicki and Amanda; a special dear friend and companion, Patty Hougham; stepmother, Margaret Devous; two brothers, Cliff Devous and Dale Hert and his wife, Darlene; and a sister, Karen Guffey; and numerous stepbrothers and stepsisters. He was also preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and a sister. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 am Saturday, Sept 14, at the Mayflower Congregational Church, 2940 Poly Drive, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest next to Carole. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Deaconess Foundation, American Lung Association, American Heart Association, or charity of choice. Arrangements were by Cremation and Funeral Gallery.
