Bob was born Nov. 9, 1950, to Lewis and Inez Leavens on the family farm South of Darby. Bob was the 11th child of 12 children. Leavens, 57, of Darby, Montana, missing since May 13, 2008, was found Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008, in his beloved West Fork. Bob was born Nov. 9, 1950, to Lewis and Inez Leavens on the family farm South of Darby. Bob was the 11th child of 12 children. Intelligent beyond his schooling, he attended Darby School, worked in the woods and remained very close to the family farm. Bob loved every aspect of the beautiful area in which he was born and raised. Many days were spent with his brothers, family and friends fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, gathering wood and prospecting. Bob seldom went north of the farm, but knew every inch of the area surrounding it. He was an extraordinary wood craftsman - some of his works include rocking chairs, axe handles, screen doors, decorative fish and flowers, spoons, forks and figurines. An example of Bob's craftsmanship is on display at the Logger's Day Park where he donated a carved cant hook handle as part of the entrance. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Susan. He is survived by his brother, Bill (Lorraine) of Seattle; sister, Florence of Hamilton; sister, Loma (Oscar) of Placerville, Calif.; brother, Chuck of Darby; brother, Don (Suzanne) of Darby; brother, Lude (Barbara) of Darby; sister, Lila (Jim) of Superior; sister, Connie (Ed) of St. Mary's, Idaho; sister, Pat (Steve) of Flagstaff, Ariz.; sister, Linda (Ron) of Montrose, Colo.; and nephews and cousins.
