Description	:	Robert Anderson, 50, of Muscatine, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Casketbearers will be Daniel Mairet, Shawn Mairet, Jeffrey Mairet, Ronnie Mairet, Steve Mairet and Doug OBrien. Honorary casketbearers will be his nieces and nephews. Visitation for Robert will be held on Monday, January 19, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Robert. Sympathy notes may be left for the Anderson family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. Robert was born on June 14, 1958, in Burlington, the son of Donald and Patricia Mairet Anderson. Bob attended Muscatine High School and later enlisted in the US Navy. Bob enjoyed golfing, bowling, woodworking and paint balling. He was an avid Hawkeye and Cardinal fan, but most of all he was a family man, he was beloved Uncle Bob. He loved spending time with his nephews and nieces, and he had lots of good friends who will miss him. Robert will be deeply missed by his mother, Pat Anderson of Muscatine, his father, Donald Anderson of Muscatine, two sisters, Teri Needham and her husband, Jim of Muscatine and Amy Padget of San Antonio, Texas, two brothers, Dave Anderson and his wife, Beckie and Tony Anderson both of Muscatine, two step-brothers, Donald Anderson and his wife, Jodi and Howard Anderson both of Muscatine, one step-sister, Patricia Chelf and her husband, Jay of Muscatine, four nephews, Ryan, Kane, Trevor and Zachary Anderson and two nieces, Alicia Goddard and Tammi Anderson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
