Description	:	Robert Stubblefield was born on Jan. 25, 1930, near Shelton to Dale D. and E. Adelaide (Haug) Stubblefield. He attended District 1 School and graduated from Shelton High School in 1947. He married Lenore E. Baker on June 12, 1955, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Bob and Lenore had four children. Adelaide (Haug) Stubblefield. He attended District 1 School and graduated from Shelton High School in 1947. He married Lenore E. Baker on June 12, 1955, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Grand Island. Bob and Lenore had four children. Bob was an active member of the Shelton United Methodist Church, serving as co-chairman of the building committee when the new church was built. He served 35 years as a director of the Dawson Public Power District and also on the District 22 and Shelton Public School boards. The Stubblefield family were Pioneer Seed Dealers for over 50 years. Bob was active in the Shelton and Buffalo County historical societies, the Gibbon Soldiers Free Homestead Colony and the Lincoln Highway Association. He served as Nebraska director to the National Lincoln Highway Association and was president of the Nebraska Chapter at the time of his death. Most recently, he and Lenore had served as co-chairmen for the National Conference of the Lincoln Highway in Kearney in July 2013. Bob was a lifelong farmer and was always interested in local history and anything related to Ford, John Deere or the Lincoln Highway. Bob was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors of the immediate family include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Laura Stubblefield and Mark and Roberta Stubblefield; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephany and Larry Canning and Susan Stubblefield and Eric Peterson; one sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Dale Whitefoot; and two sisters-in-law, Jane Baker and Hazel Gass. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and their spouses, Anna and Brandon Detlefsen, Elizabeth and Zach Miller, Neil Stubblefield, Cody Stubblefield, Patrick and Kara Stubblefield, Michael and Shaleah Goodsell, Emily Peterson and Madeline Peterson; four great-grandchildren, Trent and Claire Detlefsen and Halie and Jasmin Goodsell; and many nieces and nephews.
