Description	:	Robert "Bob" Collier, 88, of Broken Bow, Neb, died Jan. 22, 2018, at the Broken Bow Care and rehabilitation in Broken Bow. Service were held Monday, Jan. 29 at 11 a.m. at Govier Brothers Mortuary in Broken Bow. A visitation was Sunday, Jan. 28, 1-4 p,.m. at Govier Brothers. Robert David Collier was born Dec. 8, 1929 to Alvin and Margaret (Allen) Collier on their farm east of Westerville. Robert David Collier was born Dec. 8, 1929 to Alvin and Margaret (Allen) Collier on their farm east of Westerville. He graduated from Arcadia High School in 1948 and then stayed on the farm helping with that operation. Upon the death of his dad in 1977 and not interested in farming alone, he and his mother moved to Broken Bow. Bob found work with Dainton Furniture and Auction House and worked many years with the Dave Davis Auctions Co. He also helped Ted Bailey on many construction projects and was always willing to lean a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Bob was always happiest when he was busy working at something. He also enjoyed being part of the horse patrol at the Nebraska State Fair with his brother Gerald each year. On Sept. 10, 2004, he married LeaDell Jones of Broken Bow,. Since both of them enjoyed Country Western Music, they enjoyed attending many area concerts. Bob is survived by his wife LeaDell of Broken Bow; sister Gerene Williams of Grand Island; sister-in-law Willamae Collier of O'Neill' stepsons Ron and Angie Jones of Broken Bow and Larry Jones of Halsey; step-daughter Judy Burnett; nephews Martin (Jackie) Collier, Dale Collier of O'Neill, David Myers of Lebanon, Ore.; and niece Sharon Preston of Hastings. He was preceded in death by his parents,; brother Gerald and two infant nieces. Published in Custer County Chief on Feb. 1, 2018
