Michael Biklen officiated with burial in the Schaller Cemetery. Robert Dean Wright was born November 18, 1927 to Paul and Bertha (Johnson) Wright in Schaller. Michael Biklen officiated with burial in the Schaller Cemetery. Robert Dean Wright was born November 18, 1927 to Paul and Bertha (Johnson) Wright in Schaller. He attended country and high school at Schaller, graduating in 1945. He then went into the Army Air Corps in 1946 where he served overseas in Okinawa and the Philippines. After the service he started farming in Schaller with his father. On June 20, 1950 he married Darlene Ann Carlberg. After their marriage they farmed near Alta for three years. In 1955 they moved back to Schaller where Bob took over the Standard oil station built in 1959. Then in 1968, he went to work for Standard Farm and Home Center until his retirement in 1978. He then started Bob's heating and air condition service in 1979 and enjoyed all the challenges that arose with that. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church, U.F.W. and the American Legion. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all. He so enjoyed his checker and card games and the love of friends stopping by. Survivors include his wife Darlene; two daughters, Judy and her husband Sed Wall, Jan and her husband William Lang; three grandchildren, Derek Wall, Shannon and Shayla Lang. His father and mother-in-law Willard and Jessie Carlberg. Brother and sister-in-laws Bill and Vivian Anderson of Alta, Marvin and Lois Carlberg of Schaller, and Harold and Ann Pyle of Storm Lake. A host of many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wright, a sister Virginia Pyle and brother Harold Wright.
