Description	:	Robert Kaspar, 78, of Schuyler, Nebraska, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at his home in Schuyler. The funeral service will be Saturday, June 21, 10:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church – Shell Creek, with Rev. Peter Jark-Swain officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Memorial Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard. Visitation will be on Friday from noon to 7:30 P.M. with family receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:30 P.M. at Gass Haney Funeral Home. Read More	Robert Kaspar, 78, of Schuyler, Nebraska, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at his home in Schuyler. "Bob" Kaspar was born April 24, 1936, on the farm in Colfax County, Nebraska, to Elden and Mabel (Welch) Kaspar. He attended school at District 8, District 10, and graduated from Kramer High School in Columbus. After high school, Robert entered the U. S. Navy Seabea's on February 20, 1956. He served until his honorable discharge on December 8, 1957. On June 3rd, 1961, Bob was united in marriage to Karen (Hajek) Nielsen and they had 3 children together. Robert worked for Husker Coop in Columbus, Platte Center, and Creston for 20 years. He then went to work at Kluck Feedyards for 33 years. Bob was united in marriage to Carol Jindra on April 25, 2007, and two families became one. Robert enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating with his grandchildren, watching his grandson drive in car races, and going to his grandchildren's activities. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and reading. Bob liked to work on mechanical things and spending time fixing things outside and around the house. He was a member of Pheasants Forever and the Eagles Club.
