Read More	Robert Landis Robert "Bob" E. Landis, 79, Baltimore, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 22, 1921, to John and Edna Whitmill Landis. He was a retired machine operator for Crown Zellerbach with 43 years of service. He attended New Life Christian Center and Liberty Union High School. He had a passion for history, traveling, and exploration. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran seeing action in the "Battle of the Bulge" and a life member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761, Baltimore Senior Citizens, and the Ohio State and National Trappers Association. He was a avid outdoorsman with a unique love for trapping that lasted more than 60 years. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret Lenore Landis; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan (Linda) Landis and Duane (Bottsie) Landis, all of Baltimore; granddaughter, Alisha (Scott) Wisler of Mason; two grandsons, David (Natasha) Landis of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jon (Pam) Landis of Reynoldsburg; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Forona (Raymond) Hite of Groveport and Donna (Bobby) Reutzel of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Raymond Drue Landis; grandson, Heath D. Landis; brothers, John "Bud" and Raymond Landis; three sisters, Iola Storme, Gerturde Glover and Thelma Darst. A service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Baltimore, with the Rev. Cheryl Foulk of New Zion United Methodist Church officiating. Burial to follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery. Friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Baltimore VFW Post 3761 will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
